Eastern Red Cedar is a commonly found upright evergreen native to the upper Midwest. It has the best drought resistance of any conifer native to the eastern United States. This upright Juniper is used as a specimen or for large screens in the landscape. The color will be green during the growing season and then changes to a soft, plum purple in the winter.
